A six-week explorative, body-led, movement immersion for meeting Pain, Symptoms, and Self with new possibility.

Dis-ease is not the enemyit is the messenger.

Body Commune is an intimate container for those living with chronic pain, recurring illness, or symptoms without clear medical explanation.

Here, the body is not approached as a problem to fix, but as a landscape to be explored with curiosity, respect, and compassion. Through movement, guided inquiry, and creative reflection, Body Commune offers a way to meet your body’s signals differently. With open attention and a compassionate inner witness, we move through the sensory, somatic, symbolic, psychological and transpersonal landscapes — unfolding the meaning, wisdom, and possibility held within our symptoms.

    • Foundational practices to ground, regulate, and attune to your body’s cues.

    • Two weeks exploring key axes of polarity — cultivating skills to notice somatic signals and tend to your own regulation.

    • Four weeks of deeper guided inquiry into symptom, root cause, antidote, and integration through a rich 6-part arc of exploration

    • Movement explorations that weave impulse, sensation, symbol, spirit and meaning.

    • Creative reflection to give shape to experience and discover personal insight.

    • A group field of compassionate witnessing, where you are supported in both expression and presence.

  • You will leave Body Commune with:

    • A deeper, more attuned relationship with your body — and greater understanding of the messages within your symptoms.

      • Personal tools and resources for self-regulation, resilience, and self-management that can be carried into daily life.

      • A greater sense of acceptance, ease, and self-trust in the face of discomfort and uncertainty.

      • A dynamic, compassionate relationship with dis-ease and pain, opening new ways of meeting what arises.

      • A renewed sense of agency — the knowing that you can meet your body, your symptoms, and your life with choice.

      • Clearer pathways toward freedom, creativity, and possibility.

      • The potential for fresh insight, integration, and relationship with pain or recurring symptoms.

Structure.

The Body Commune framework is a six-week process that balances structure with openness. Each step is thoughtfully designed to support safety, regulation, and depth as you move from foundational practices into deeper layers of body-led inquiry.

  • The first 2 weeks are focused on a few key grounding practices that attune you to your body’s somatic cues. These weeks introduce three key axes of polarity — helping you recognise and regulate your nervous system, build awareness of body signals, and strengthen your inner witness.

  • The Body Commune journey is held within a six-part arc of exploration — a framework that provides rhythm, safety, and depth. Within this arc, participants are guided through four central themes: symptom, root, antidote, and integration. These are not rigid steps, but invitations — doorways into seeing and sensing differently.

Each session is guided by impulse-led movement and creative reflection. From here, participants may open into different landscapes of experience:

    • Sensory — the raw immediacy of experience: touch, temperature, texture, sound, sight, taste, smell. The nervous system’s first layer of communication before thought or meaning arises.

    • Somatic — the way sensations gather into patterns of holding, gestures, impulses to move, and nervous system states.

    • Symbolic — images, metaphors, and creative expressions that give form to inner experience and open meaning beyond words.

    • Psychological — the narratives, beliefs, and inner dialogues that shape how symptoms are understood and lived.

    • Transpersonal — the wider field: archetypal, spiritual, and collective experiences that connect us to more-than-self.

These landscapes are not destinations, but possibilities. The process does not prescribe what will happen — it simply creates the conditions for what wants to arise.

The framework is inspired by Authentic Movement (Mary Whitehouse, Janet Adler), particularly its devotion to impulse and the cultivation of the inner witness. Within Body Commune, these principles are adapted into a unique six-part arc — one that balances structure with openness, and honours both clinical grounding and soul-led inquiry.

This work is not about performance or diagnosis. It is about cultivating presence, resilience, and a renewed relationship with your body.

Body commune is a space where we invite the body to guide us towards what needs to be known in this moment. This is the shift from fighting the body, to moving with it.

At the heart of Body Commune is a simple truth - The Body holds the Key. Movement is the Map, the Memory and the Medicine.
